HINDU WEDDING AT MEXICO CITY

Wedding Planners | 07/15/2020

By Valentina Corro

Investment: around 3 million MXN ($134,543 USD)

Number of Guests: 170

Planning time: 1 year

How many of your staff were at this event? : 12 wedding coordinators

Wedding Description: It was a destination wedding held at CDMX, bride and groom and guests from the United States and India, full of majesty in their dresses and suits, for the first time in CDMX wedding sector, we managed to create a celebration of this Kind, featuring authentic Indian food, decor, atmosphere and music typical of the Asian region.

Hindu weddings usually have several days of events and ceremonies that must be captured at the ideal time, to transmit the magic of their beautiful culture.

Your WOW moment: It was a spectacular destination wedding from start to finish. The moment where I felt a maximum happiness was in the third event; the reception that took place in the former convent of San Hipólito. Before opening the dance floor, the couple gave a few words; They especially appreciated the support of our team in everything that had to do with the planning of their wedding.

What did you learn specifically from this event?:
To work under pressure and lead a huge team of providers in different events that were happening at the same time. I learned to adapt to another culture and share that knowledge with all the providers and our team of coordinators.

Some detail you want to include: It was a wedding that defined my career, many of the skills that I have learned in all these years, I had to use to bring up the project. Not only specialized planning skills, but skills as a person and as a team. It has been an event that led me to mature in every way.

Challenge to beat the wedding day:
We really enjoyed the wedding , but it required the concentration of all the team members and we faced the need to adapt to many characteristics; like religion and language. Bringing 3 events with assemblies and simultaneous processes led us to generate a perfect script for what was happening at each moment. One of the most complex issues was to control everything planned and manage the time and resources of all the suppliers that, like us, did the production of 3 events. It required a lot of communication, concentration and teamwork.

"This magnificent wedding proved that Mexico City and its suppliers are ready to host an event of this magnitude, offering the best quality in their services and raising the name of our country" FORBES.
